We had to honour of attending an event at Paignton Zoo last night on behalf of Paignton & District Chamber of Commerce with Chris Thomas to celebrate the amazing improvements and hear about the exciting things to come after the investment from Libema. 🦍🦧🦓🦏🦒
It’s clear to see all the hard work that has happened so far.
And it was lovely to hear Terrie-May Tucker-Holmes sing again.
Having visited the zoo many times with my children I am so relieved it has been saved from closure. They can carry on their great conservation work and we get to keep such a wonderful attraction in the bay.
What a week last week was! Networking, catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones.
A great G12 meeting on Wednesday where we heard more from the inspiring Chris Fleet about the amazing walk he and over 200 others did across Devon, raising lol over £160k for The Devon Clinic! A great charity providing mental health support to those who need it most. 🚶Great photos Tony Cobley 📷
Thursday was Newton Abbot Chamber Of Commerce meeting at Newton Abbot Races Limited always a great venue and hosted so beautifully by Jenny Paton. 🐎
Friday I was honoured to be invited to Somerset County Cricket Club with WPA Health Insurance to watch the T20 blast with fellow colleagues and valued customers.
Great to see Gordon Whorlow - Cert CII, James Grant, Jeremy Blackman and catch up with Adam Frampton Cert CII! Fab to catch up with Sanjeev Harash.
And a really interesting talk on mental health resilience from Arul Suppiah and Perry Rendell.
A brilliant evening at Agatha Christie’s Towards Zero at the Palace Theatre representing Paignton & District Chamber of Commerce with my fellow exec member, Chris Thomas.
A superb production from Bijou Theatre Productions, with fantastic performances and real theatrical craft on display.
Huge credit as well to Maureen McAllister and the Palace team for their warm hosting — the perfect finishing touch to a great night.
If you haven’t seen it yet, I’d highly recommend it. Running Tues–Thurs at 7:30pm until 30 July — tickets just £18.
